Our story
Hot Shots commenced in 1985, as a family owned company, out of Wonthaggi Victoria, and has since grown this century, to supply firewood and kindling; keeping Australian fireplaces and barbecues burning strong the way we know.

Chapter oneThe company is set up by 3 blokes, passionate about BBQ’ing, expert in manufacturing, finance and marketing; together making the perfect blend for a new manufacturer, to compete against Heat Beads dominance for the 10 years prior.
1990s★ ★ ★
Chapter twoWeber style kettle BBQ’s are everywhere across backyards throughout the country. From supplying to the hardware and petrol station market across Melbourne, the Hot Shots brand grows substantially. ‘Dipper’ becomes the company’s inaugural brand ambassador. A relationship that has been rekindled again over the last 5 years.

2020–2025★ ★ ★
Chapter fiveThe start of the pandemic provides the company with the largest growth they have seen in their history as the population is forced to stay home. The period that follows is a re-enforcement of celebrating the small things. The cosy firepit gatherings and family backyard BBQ’s become moments to savour amongst family and friends, not to be taken for granted since the hardships of the first few years.
Hot Shots supports Dipper Backyard BBQ wars and pitmasters and professionals embrace our products on this program for numerous seasons.
